3 Quick and Healthy Smoothie Recipes
Smoothies make for the best breakfast, especially if you’re always on-the-go. Although, lately, I’ve been finding they make a pretty yummy afternoon snack, especially post-workout!
I think one of my favorite parts about making a smoothie is that you can’t mess it up, and there’s literally a million different recipes you can try!
Feeling low on fuel and ready to re-energize your body? There’s a smoothie for that.
Craving something sweet but don’t want to reach for the cookie jar? There’s a smoothie for that.

I’ve found THREE quick, easy, and ultra satisfying smoothie recipes that’ll make you even more excited to get up in the morning! Tropical Green Tea, Cake Batter, and a yummy Green Vegan Smoothie! How delicious do these sound?!

Energizing Tropical Green Tea Smoothie
When Summer rolls around, I’m always in the mood for something tropical.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup packed baby spinach
2 tbsp water
1 large frozen banana, about 1 cup
1 cup frozen mango chunks
1 tsp matcha green tea powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp each ground flax chia seeds, hemp seeds
1.25 cups unsweetened milk of choice I used almond milk
1-2 dates optional
Coconut flakes for topping optional, toast if desired
Instructions:
Add spinach and water to your blender and blend until spinach is pureed. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Add additional milk and/or ice if desired.
Transfer to glass and top with coconut flakes if desired.
Birthday Cake Protein Smoothie
All the sweet flavors of dessert with a super healthy twist!
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen organic banana chopped into small pieces prior to freezing
¼-½ cup vanilla almond milk adjust amount depending on desired thickness
2 scoops of vanilla whey protein, vegan, or paleo protein of choice
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 few drops of almond extract
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
1 tablespoon sprinkles optional- but always fun
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients in a high speed blender, or food processor, adding more almond milk as necessary.
Green Vegan Smoothie
This one is vegan, gluten-free, and the best part, kid-friendly!
Ingredients:
1 banana, frozen preferred, or use 1/2 cup more frozen fruit
1 cup frozen mango , or blueberries, pineapple, berries
2-3 cups baby spinach, kale or mixed super greens
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup almond milk
optional: 1 date, pitted, for additional sweetness
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a high powered blender and blend until creamy and smooth. If it's too thin, add more frozen fruit or a handful of ice. If it's too thick, add water or more almond milk until a desirable consistency is reached.
Serve immediately. Best when fresh, but you could store it in the refrigerator overnight in a covered jar if needed.
