Frequently asked questions.
-
Yes, we accept most major insurance plans. Many insurance providers recognize the value of mental health services and will cover all or a portion of your sessions. If you're unsure whether your plan includes coverage for counseling, we’re happy to help you verify your benefits and walk you through the process. Our goal is to make getting support as accessible and stress-free as possible.
-
Not at all. 515 Fitness is built on the belief that movement belongs to everyone — not just athletes or gym-goers. You don’t need to be fit, fast, flexible, or coordinated. We meet you where you are, physically and emotionally. All movement is adapted to your comfort level and needs. Whether that looks like stretching on a mat, walking slowly outdoors, or simply connecting with your breath, every session is customized to support you and your journey.
-
Each session is 60 minutes long. That gives us enough time to combine intentional movement with therapeutic conversation in a way that feels effective but never rushed. We honor your time and energy, and each minute is used with care.
-
Our mission at 515 Fitness is to integrate movement and mental health because of the proven mind-body connection. That said, we understand that everyone’s comfort with movement is different. If you're hesitant or unsure about incorporating physical activity, that’s okay. We work collaboratively with you to find gentle, accessible ways to bring movement into the space — such as light stretching, walking in place, or mindful breathing. If you’re strongly opposed, we’ll explore your resistance together while still honoring the value of our approach. The goal is never performance — it’s connection, regulation, and healing.
-
If your insurance doesn’t provide coverage, we can often work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget. We believe mental health care should be available to everyone. Don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re always open to having a conversation and finding a path forward.

There’s no one-size-fits-all session at 515 Fitness — but there is a structure that helps guide your experience. Each 60-minute individual session is tailored to your goals, energy, and emotional state, and is led by a licensed therapist trained in both counseling and movement-based interventions. Here’s what a typical session might look like:
10 minutes: Warm-up and light dynamic stretching
30 minutes: Customized movement or exercise routine (could include walking, lifting, biking, paddleboarding, etc.)
10 minutes: Cool down, breathing work, or grounding
Talk Therapy: Occurs throughout the session, woven into the movement to enhance emotional processing and mind-body integration
We incorporate a wide range of techniques depending on your needs — from CBT and mindfulness to expressive arts, yoga, or play therapy. Our client base spans ages 5 to 75+ because healing through movement is for everyone, regardless of age or stage.
-
It might feel unfamiliar at first, but most clients find that once they get started, the movement actually helps make tough conversations easier. When your body is in motion, your nervous system becomes more regulated, and that can reduce internal pressure or anxiety around sharing. It’s like talking on a walk with a trusted friend — there’s less eye contact, less intensity, and more flow. Movement can unlock stories that words alone sometimes can’t reach.
-
Wear anything that feels comfortable and easy to move in. Yoga pants, leggings, sweatshirts, T-shirts, sneakers — whatever helps you feel relaxed and ready to engage.
-
Yes! We understand that life is busy and mental health shouldn’t be limited to a 9–5 schedule. While availability varies slightly by therapist, we offer flexible scheduling that includes some evening and weekend slots. Let us know what works best for you, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
-
That’s completely okay — movement at 515 Fitness is always adapted to meet your individual needs and abilities. Whether you’re dealing with injury, mobility challenges, or chronic pain, we’ll work together to create a safe, gentle experience that honors your body’s wisdom. Even small movements can help support emotional release and nervous system regulation. You never have to “push through” pain here.
-
Yes — we offer virtual therapy for clients located in states where our clinicians are licensed. While movement-based sessions are most impactful in person, we do creatively incorporate movement into telehealth (e.g., guided stretching, breathwork, or movement prompts). You’ll still receive the same integrative care, even from a distance.
-
Yes. While many of our clients are adults, we also work with teens and younger clients (as young as age 5) using age-appropriate movement and therapeutic techniques. For younger children, movement and play-based therapy often help with emotional regulation, expression, and confidence. Parent support may also be included as part of the process.

We do offer couples counseling and can work with close family members or partners if it’s part of your therapeutic goal. We’ll discuss this beforehand to determine what’s clinically appropriate and helpful. Sessions with friends for general wellness or fitness-focused support may be offered in the future — let us know if you're interested!
