It's Time to Normalize Men's Mental Health
A little friendly reminder that asking for help is not a sign of weakness.
Can we normalize this for men? The stigma needs to end when it comes to men's mental health needs. Mental health doesn't discriminate and it's time we start normalizing these things for men and showing more support and encouragement around the topic!
Three times as many men as women die by suicide.
Men aged 40-49 have the highest suicide rates in the UK.
Men report lower levels of life satisfaction than women according to the Government’s national wellbeing survey.
Men are less likely to access psychological therapies than women: only 36% of referrals to NHS talking therapies are for men.
Mental health is being talked about more and more since the start of the pandemic, and I think it's brought a whole new light on the need to express ourselves and seek help when we need it. There's no shame at all. Take your mental health seriously and know that you are worth it!Source: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/a-to-z/m/men-and-mental-health
