What's the most inspiring part of your job? 

The most inspiring thing about my job is being able to see the changes that people can go through once they realize that they have a safe place to explore their feelings. That realization is so important to me and being able to see someone become comfortable and truly start to open up is amazing. 

The best piece of advice I've been given is...

…to never forget this quote, “You do not yield”, and this is something that has stuck with me and is a reminder that I hold close.

I currently have my LSW and am hoping to get my LCSW by the end of this year. My previous work experience was at a psychiatric residential faculty for children and young adults. I worked there for two years then took a year off of work to raise my daughter. I returned to do private practice and continue to work with children and young adults. I am also an artist who just finished illustrating my first children’s book and am opening an art store soon.
