What's the most inspiring part of your job?
What inspires me most about my role at 515 is having the opportunity to be a part of such an inclusive and innovative approach to mental health therapy, helping to promote growth and wellness for all and collaborating with the communities 515 serves to reduce the stigma around mental health as a whole.

McKenzie graduated with her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and she received her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University. She is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Her professional experience includes facilitating therapeutic groups for adolescent and adult females struggling with substance use, mood and eating disorders. She is passionate about helping clients realize their many strengths, improve their self and body-image and gain self-appreciation, self-compassion and self-acceptance. During her free-time she enjoys working out at CrossFit, going to concerts, being active outdoors and spending quality time with her family, friends and boyfriend (and puppy).
